The Payroll Administrator will administer and process bi-weekly payrolls (including base pay, overtime, and commissions) and ensure payroll data integrity as well as timely payroll processing. The Payroll Administrator will also drive and/or support ongoing programs and new initiatives and be the point of contact for all employee pay related questions by responding in a timely and sensitive manner. They must have excellent attention to detail, time management, ability to follow through and be able to independently and successfully manage and complete projects from start to finish. 


• Executes the biweekly payroll functions in compliance with external regulations and internal policies for the entire organization; including, entering of data into payroll software, changing recurring earning and deductions, maintaining all changes to payroll records, tracking and entering all commissions and bonuses, and maintaining personal time off plans.

• Work with individual business unit to prepare monthly commission schedules and processing commission payments monthly.

• Ensure tax information is correct and liaison with payroll system contacts to ensure accurate and timely tax filings in individual state and local taxing authorities.

• Collaborate and partner with Operations regarding new hires, terminations, and benefit deductions while ensuring timeliness of submitting documents accurately.

• Process "off-cycle” checks for terminations, pay changes, and commissions as necessary.

• Maintain active/inactive employee files.

• Manage vacation/sick/401k policies, employee receivable balances, and transactions for all employees.

• Manage and generate various reports (including audit reports) from timekeeping and payroll systems for other departments.

• Responsible for being the main point of contact for all payroll related issues/calls/meetings and respond to time-sensitive and/or confidential issues and/or questions in a timely manner.

• Assists with the administration of certain company benefits, such as the HSA, 401K, FSA, and Deferred Comp.

• Prepares and enters all payroll entries into the general ledger. Understands the general ledger system and can make correcting entries to ensure accuracy of the general ledger system.

• Reconciles the quarterly tax returns completed by the payroll provider to ensure accuracy of reporting and payments.

• Reconciles year end returns and w-2's to ensure accuracy of reporting.

• Responsible for Worker's Comp audits and assists in the 401K audit.



• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is required. Certified Payroll Professional
(CPP) highly preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience managing and/or processing multi-state payroll experience.
• Working knowledge of UltiPro is a plus but not required.
• Experience in MS Office Suite with an emphasis in Excel is required.
• Must have highly analytical skills with strong working knowledge of general payroll protocols,
accounting principles and Federal, State and local regulations.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality always.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work under minimal supervision and be a self-starter.
