Paradigm Precision specializes in the manufacturing of complex fabrication and precision machined components for gas turbine engines. We serve customers around the world in commercial and military aviation, power generation, the marine industry, rotary wing and unmanned aerial vehicles.

SUMMARY:
Responsible for overseeing the management and implementation of human resources programs throughout all the Machining Business Units that support employee productivity and drive business unit results. Working within a matrixed environment, manages all areas of human resources including recruitment, staffing, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compliance, employee record keeping and budget adherence. Drives change and implements best practices in order to maximize efficiency. Interacts closely with Corporate Human Resources and Business Unit leadership to improve performance. Also acts as Human Resources Manager in one or more facility.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

May include one or more of the following:

  • Champion human resources initiatives across the Business Unit in support of established strategy and goals/objectives.

  • In collaboration with the corporate human resources and business unit human resources organizations, evaluate and share "Best Practices" across the Business Unit.

  • Develop, maintain and drive medium/long range human resources management strategies for the Business Unit.

  • Provide overall strategic and tactical leadership for human resources management across the Business Unit and an operating site.

  • Manage performance against, and report out on established human resources metrics.

  • In collaboration with the Business Unit leadership team, evaluate skills of existing team members; develop plans to strengthen the team via training, "top grading", team building activities or other viable options.

  • Coordinate with operations and other departments to resolve escalated issues.

  • Supervise all personnel record keeping, benefits compensation, and employee services.

  • Stay informed on government laws and regulations affecting employment.

  • Advise supervisors and managers regarding labor relations issues.

  • Implement and analyze results of stay and exit interviews.

  • Travel (approximately 25%) to various Paradigm Precision locations required.

  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This job may have supervisory responsibilities.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor degree in Business, Human Resources, or related discipline. Eight or more years of human resources management in a manufacturing environment. SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to develop and/or revise standard operational and working practices and procedures.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must have a proven track record of successful customer interactions both internal and external. Must be results oriented, have a strong bias for action, be self-motivated and directed.

  • Skilled in talent management including the ability to develop, train, coach, and mentor employees. Set clear expectations, goals and hold employees accountable.

  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding work environment and able to balance conflicting and multiple priorities.

  • Strong computer skills that include a working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now, or other HRIS, and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access).

  • Solid analytical, decision making skills with the ability to quickly and effectively evaluate information in a timely basis.

  • Experience in lean manufacturing principles and thorough understanding of Kaizen, 6S, Kanban (formulas, implementation and management). Experience with ISO or QS 9000 systems, global manufacturing, six-sigma/Lean manufacturing background is a plus.
