In this position, duties will include your collaboration with executives and leaders to provide coaching, facilitation, team development and whole systems analysis to implement organization improvement initiatives and assure alignment with the organization's strategic plans. This position is also responsible for the leadership, management and supervision of all designated staff and the delivery of services.  In addition, you will proactively address and respond to organizational development issues by bringing key stakeholders together to assess root causes and performance gaps to include strategic planning, tactical and project planning, facilitation, instruction, program design as well as materials development and performance analysis.

Requirements

This position requires the following minimum education and experience:

Education

  • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, organizational development, applied behavioral sciences, business administration or related field.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in human resources management, organizational development, applied behavioral sciences, business administration or related field.

Years of relevant experience

  • Five years of internal consultation and corporate training experience working with senior managers utilizing the skills and knowledge described above to improve work groups, teams, and organizations.
  • Preferred: Seven years of experience in a complex, multi-functional business organization.

Certifications

  • Appropriate professional certifications, including experience/certification as a human resources generalist is preferred. Insurance industry experience/certifications as well as experience/certification with assessment tools for career and leadership development are helpful.

Other Requirements of the Position

  1. Regular attendance and presence in the designated workplace.
  2. Skills/Knowledge:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning styles, participative training design, group dynamics, interactive learning methods, systems theory and quality improvement processes, principles of customer service, advanced consulting methods, leadership coaching, conflict resolution, group process facilitation, organization communications processes, change management, presentation skills and project management. Knowledge of and experience in the use of various assessment tools such as Gallup Q12©, Caliper©, Strength Finder©, DiSC®. Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience managing and maintaining data in a learning or HR management system (LMS/HRMS).

    3. Talents/Attributes:

  • Ability to work cooperatively as a team member in a complex fast paced and changing environment.
  • Demonstrated consultative and collaborative style with the ability to influence and impact people not in a direct reporting role and/or at higher organizational levels.
  • Ability to think strategically, understand needs and then execute quickly or adjust plans to meet organizational needs and readiness.
  • Strong project management experience and skill in prioritizing multiple projects/tasks.
  • Enthusiasm, constructive determination and desire to promote collaborative development philosophy and culture.

Annual Salary Range: $81,200 - $111,540
