Basic Function of the Position: Recruit and hire Coordinator through Manager level roles within each business function of the organization including hiring for CTA’s intern program (30 unique roles). Assist the Sr. Manager with a variety of projects supporting many different aspects of Human Resources including recruitment, employee retention, recognition, engagement, special projects, research and strong administrative support.

Critical Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead full life cycle recruitment for CTA’s Intern Program and Coordinator through Manager level roles including job posting and advertisement, reviewing resumes, conducting phone screens, scheduling and conducting in-person interviews, making hiring recommendations, extending job offers/sending rejection letters, and assisting with the on-boarding process.
  • Manage CTA’s Intern Program, as directed by the Sr. Manager, to include organizing the annual intern Community Service Event and intern lunch with the CEO, organizing attendance at local University Career Fairs, conducting intern exit interviews to help grow and improve the internship program and leading New Hire Orientation.
  • Support employee engagement and corporate philanthropy efforts including by leading and supporting annual CTA staff events including the Halloween party. Thanksgiving food drive, Angel Tree Program participation, Lunch and Learn program and Bagel Days.
  • Support the Sr. Manager with special projects including research, reporting and administration.
  • Review and update information pertaining to the Human Resources department on the internal and external website as needed.
  • Assist with organizing, scanning and filing department and employee documents with precise attention to detail.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Work Experience:

  • 5 years’ experience with recruiting, hiring, and supporting those who manage those functions.
  • Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) required.

Education/Training:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Sociology Organization Management or other related field preferred.

 

Skills/Capabilities/Technical:

  • High level of confidentiality required
  • Very strong attention to detail, sense of urgency and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects at the same time efficiently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter that can work independently, complete projects with little supervision, manage/prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and has a strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio)

Additional Information:

  • Overnight travel to CES in Las Vegas may be required.
