Prestigious Central New York law firm with approximately 250 lawyers and 11 offices, is seeking a Director of Human Resources (HRD).

The HRD is responsible for HR strategy and operations in support of the firm’s strategic direction. The HRD reports to the firm’s Chief Operating Officer and works collaboratively with the firm’s senior leadership team. The HRD is responsible for HR policy development and implementation, employee relations, performance management, administrative compensation, benefit design and administration, orientation programs, education and development, and recruitment and retention programs.

A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or related field is required. MBA or similar advanced degree, and SHRM certification, are desirable. Several years of progressive HR management experience in a fast-paced, challenging professional services environment also is required. Law firm experience is preferred. The compensation package is commensurate with the position and responsibilities. Ideally, the position would be located in the Syracuse office.
