The Labor Relations Coordinator is responsible for providing advice and assistance to City bureaus on labor relations issues, including interpreting contract provisions, and representing the City in responding to and resolving grievances and difficult employee relations issues. Duties include negotiating collective bargaining agreements for specific assigned bargaining units and interpreting labor contract terms and provisions. Additional duties include developing and conducting training on labor relation issues and topics and assisting in the resolution of disputes. The Labor Relations Coordinator must function as an effective member of the Labor Relations team and carry out their individual responsibilities with initiative, independence and creativity while exercising sound professional judgment and problem-solving skills.
