What we are looking for…

An experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) with that will have responsibilities with benefits and compensation. A self-driven, articulate, and responsive Human Resources professional who has experience in and enjoys providing support for enterprise-wide benefits and compensation programs. An HRBP that demonstrates a sense of urgency, along with intellectual curiosity.


Benefits responsibilities:

  • Be a first point contact for benefit plan management and oversight of benefit transactions; including, managing plan documents, compliance, and administrative contact for BETA’s retirement plans: 401(a), 457(b) Money Purchase, and executive deferred compensation plans (QSERP and QGEBA), includes CalPERS plans
  • Collaborate with Human Resources leadership and the Human Resources team on strategic benefit efforts including recommendations for implementation of new programs or modifications, with an eye on benefit cost-sharing and funding.


Compensation responsibilities:

  • Be a first point contact for performance and compensation management processes; lead annual compensation planning, merit adjustments and performance incentive payouts.
  • Assist Human Resources leadership and the Human Resources team compiling market data and benchmarking purposes
  • Perform job analysis to determine title, pay grade/range, and FLSA classification


Business Partner responsibilities:

  • Assist employees and managers with Human Resources related inquiries
  • Participate in the research and implementation of assigned human resources-related training programs
  • Administer leave management process.


What we need…

  • Minimum 5 years of Human Resources generalist experience with an emphasis in administering benefit programs and the analysis, design and administration of compensation programs. Demonstrated experience in government retirement plans (e.g. CalPERS) will give you an edge.
  • High school diploma and a bachelor’s degree, with an emphasis in business management, human resources management or organizational development is required. In the alternative, demonstrated work experience in these areas
  • Current (or on your way to obtaining) PHR or SHRM certification. 
  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) and/or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation, is also a plus
  • Advanced skills with demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and HRIS, preferably Paycom.
  • Demonstrated versatility and flexibility working in a nimble and agile environment where your positive and enthusiastic presence shines alongside your passion towards the Human Resources profession
