Summary

The Human Resources Specialist manages full cycle recruitment activities for all Faculty and Staff positions at the Glendale, AZ Campus. The position reports to the HR Manager – Recruitment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the full cycle recruitment process for the Faculty and Staff positions for the Glendale, AZ campus and clinics, which includes:
  • Manage positions within the UltiPro Recruiting system.
  • Partner with Hiring Managers to create a Recruitment Strategy for open positions.
  • Screen and submit resumes based on position requirements.
  • Schedule interviews with staff candidates.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to Hiring Managers on Recruitment related topics.
  • Advertise positions with industry specific websites and publications.
  • Perform behavioral-based interviews for all Faculty and Staff positions.
  • Verify credentials of Faculty candidates based on the requirements for the position.
  • Review results of background checks on selected Faculty and Staff candidates.
  • Perform reference checks for Staff candidates.
  • Facilitate the contract request process for Faculty new hires.
  • Extend all Staff employment offers.
  • Assist with coordinating the interview and relocation process for out of area staff hires.
    • Coordinate the on-boarding process with the HR Coordinator
    • Create and maintain job descriptions.
  • Assist to develop and facilitate Recruitment specific training classes.
    • Produce UltiPro Recruiting reports for the Glendale Campus to include:
    • New hire reporting
    • Open/closed position reporting
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities                                             

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Computer Skills                                           

Computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).  Experience with UltiPro HRIS products desired.

Language Skills                                           

Intermediate skills:  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Reasoning Ability

Intermediate skills:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Mathematical Ability

Intermediate skills:  Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interests, commissions and proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Education and/or Experience                                            

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and minimum of 3 years Human Resources experience required.  Understanding of Federal, State and local employment laws and a minimum of 1-year prior recruitment experience required.  Experience with UltiPro Recruiting, UltiPro Onboarding or other Applicant Tracking Systems a plus.
