Health Plan: The County pays towards health insurance premiums for all employees. Employees can select from three health care plan options. Coverage is effective the first of the month following 60 days of employment.
Dental Insurance: Employees are eligible to enroll in the dental coverage and choose from four options: High DMO, Low DMO, a network Open Access Plan, and a PPO. Coverage is effective the first of the month following 30 days of employment.
Vision Care: Employees and their dependents are eligible to enroll in the vision coverage. Co-payment coverage includes exams, lens and frame, as well as an allowable contact lens expense. Coverage is effective the first of the month following 30 days of employment.
Employee Assistance Program: This program provides all employees and family members with professional, confidential counseling sessions. All employees and dependents are afforded up to six (6) free visits per Plan year. Coverage begins on the first day of employment.
Tuition Reimbursement: Employees may be reimbursed up to $1,000 (undergraduate), $2000 (graduate) per fiscal year for classes at an accredited college or university for courses that enhance your ability to perform your current job duties.

Holidays: Employees receive up to 12 paid holidays per year. 

IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate for Human Resources Partner (Classification & Compensation) position is a subject matter expert of total compensation and who understands the global impact that the structure of a department can have in assisting or hindering their ability to achieve their mission. The HR Partner in classifications and compensation builds strong relationships with departments to diagnose systemic classifications and compensation problems and makes effective recommendations to resolve the core problems and not the symptoms.

A CCP (World at Work) certification is preferred.

JOB DUTIES

  • Monitors the effectiveness of existing classification and compensation program including policies, guidelines and procedures. Recommends revision to existing plans as well as develop new plans that are cost-effective and consistent with compensation trends and organizational objectives; coordinates implementation and provides guidance to departments.
  • Subject matter expert in the area of classification and compensation; understands cause and affect implications of each situation into other HR areas. Works in cross-functional collaboration to provide departments with proactive and comprehensive recommendations to effectively address complex issues such as, low occupancy rates (high turn-over/absenteeism), career pathing etc.
  • Works closely with management and employees to strategically assess situations using projection techniques and proactively assembles project teams to find the most effective and expedient way to improve work relationships, build morale, and improve outcomes and retention.
  • Provides advice to managers and staff on pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretation, and job evaluation, including the design of creative solutions to specific compensation-related programs.
  • Develops techniques for compiling, preparing and presenting data. Analyses trends and, working in partnership with other HR functions, collaborates to develop programs, procedures or solutions to improve department effectiveness.
  • Supervises the participation in, conducts and/or purchases exempt and nonexempt salary surveys to ensure corporate compensation objectives are achieved.
  • Keeps apprised of federal, state and local compensation laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to provide professional and objective advice to guide operations in strategy, structure, management, in pursuit of long-term objectives.
  • Ability to provide expert advice in the areas of compensation and classification to the departments working in a professional or technical field. Provides the organization with an outside, expert opinion regarding decisions affecting the process of the business or objective.
