Primary Goal: Reporting to the CEO, the Human Resources/Office Manager is responsible for support for Office Management and HR Issues supporting PDA’s 40+ full-time, year-round staff.  Responsible for primary interface with outsourced PEO organization.


Duties & Responsibilities:


Office Management

  • Maintain adequate office and kitchen supplies within allocated budget;
  • Report quarterly budget to President
  • Supervise Reception: Answering Phones, Managing Visitors, Maintenance of Reception/Library area, Entrance Screen Update Visitor Screens weekly and Post/Remove Visitor Notices as needed, maintain library and provide access/check in/out material, back-up coverage during breaks and lunch
  • Support all staff:
    • Suite access keyfobs (Data Watch),
    • Building maintenance issues      
    • Office door key lockbox.


Human Resources

  • Managing the creation of job descriptions;
  • Managing the hiring process, including working with recruiters, advertising open positions, reviewing resumes, coordinating and conducting interviews, conducting reference and background checks, drafting offer letters;
  • Managing the hiring of temporary staff;
  • Managing the on-boarding process for new employees;
  • Maintaining up-to-date personnel information and files;
  • Work interactively with PEO to:
    • Administer employee benefits;
    • Complete and submit paperwork to external agencies including worker’s compensation claims, unemployment claims, verification of employment, etc.;
  • Maintaining the employee handbook and organizational staffing chart;
  • Maintain and administer employee benefits including parking/transportation;
  • Administer PDA employee recognition programs;
  • Overseeing the annual employee review process;
  • Ensuring management actions conform to employee handbook and labor laws;
  • Creating policies and procedures;
  • Tracking employee performance documentation;
  • Participating in disciplinary and termination meetings.


  • Other projects and duties as may be assigned by President





  • Practical Experience: Three years of comparable Human Resource experience required. Previous experience supporting non-profit organization preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Administrative certification, BS or BA in related field preferred
