We are seeking and energetic, well organized, hands-on professional who is adept at handling the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department for multi-state locations. The Human Resources Manager will report directly to, and work with, the Vice President of Human Resources and Organizational Development. The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the employment lifecycle, including, but not limited to, administration of all benefits programs including health insurance and 401K, federal and state compliance management, payroll, performance management, compensation programs, recruitment, hiring/on boarding, and personnel documentation. Regular coordination and collaboration with the managers is essential for this position. We are seeking a professional who is comfortable with the practical managerial and administrative oversight of six (6) team members.




  • Administrative management of personnel, time and attendance, PTO and leave requests, appraisals, performance management, discipline and related matters

  • Benefits administration: manage employee benefits health and welfare plans (medical, dental, life, voluntary insurance, 401(k) including enrollment, termination, 5500 and all compliance filings. Obtain bids upon renewal, confer with senior management regarding benefits cost, make recommendations as to the premium cost effect to business and participants, process renewal application with third party vendor, plan and execute open enrollment benefit meetings and benefit change notification

  • Collaborate with IT, Finance, Operations and Sales Departments for continuous and consistent exchange of information regarding employee professional development

  • Organize and manage the recruitment process, including selection of appropriate recruiting networks, background checks, offer letters, interview scheduling and on-boarding

  • Oversee and recommend Employee Performance Management and Compensation platforms

  • Explore and analyze market compensation data to develop competitive compensation plan in alignment with Executive Management

  • Coordinate with legal counsel as needed

  • Ensure company policies are compliant with federal and state law. Stay current on federal, state, and case law changes and monitor employment-related law updates

  • Develop, create, review, edit and implement SOP’s

  • Development department objectives, implement new process/programs/systems that align with Company goals




  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or business-related discipline

  • Minimum 5-7 years supervisory experience

  • Ability to successfully multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrated excellence in organization skills

  • Working knowledge of FMLA, NJLA, NJ TDB, NJFLI, COBRA, OSHA, Worker’s Compensation, Unemployment Insurance, and Collective Bargaining Contracts

  • Proficient with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point as well as web based computer applications

  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills

  • Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive Company image

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and communicate clearly and concisely

  • Strong management, leadership and problem-solving skills

  • Ensure and maintain confidentiality

  • Travel to out-of-state Company locations




  • Ability to ambulate the entire facility, including office, warehouse and grounds

  • Effective use of electronic systems and equipment

  • Physically able to occasionally safely lift products and equipment up to 25 lbs

  • Moderate standing, sitting, bending and strecthing
