JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, plan and implement human resources programs to drive organizational performance. 

Administers policies relating to compensation, benefits, employee relations, training and health and safety programs in alignment with corporate objectives.

SPECIFIC AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Culture and Organization Effectiveness – Understand the business strategy and identify opportunities to improve organizational capabilities and drive culture change to align people strategies to the business objectives.  Manage change in a proactive and positive manner.

    Performance Management – Assure the annual employee job performance assessments are conducted.  This includes the annual goal setting process, the annual assessment process and periodic feedback sessions that strive to raise the performance bar in the organization.  Provide coaching and consulting to business leaders on effective performance management intervention.

    Employee Communications – Advocate employee communications processes that inform employees as well as to assure two way communications between employees and management.

    Coaching, Consulting and Facilitating – Provides guidance and direction to leadership team on human resources management policies, processes and systems.

    Training and Development – Ensure that the organization meets or exceeds training objectives to ensure competent level of individual and operational performance.

    Staffing and Recruiting – Develop staffing models and strategies to meet changes in business demands.  Establish creative, cost-effective recruiting sources.  Establish policies and practices that ensure a fair and legal recruiting and staffing program.  Design and implement effective on-boarding program that ensures new hire success.

    Legal Compliance – Assure that the business has in place processes that comply with all aspects of employment law, ITAR/EAR, and other business practice standards.  Maintain current employee handbook and other policies to ensure compliance.

    Compensation – Administer compensation programs to assure competitive total reward practices, aligned with corporate strategies and fair pay practices.

    Benefits – Administer benefit enrollment process and assist employees with claim processing issues.

    Employee Relations – Develop systems and programs that promote positive employee relations and employee engagement.

    Labor Relations – Ensure execution of CBA and manage the grievance procedure as required.  Communicate effectively with union leadership.

  • Safety and Health – Ensure local programs are established to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for associates. Oversees the administration of workers' compensation program, including working with the insurance carrier to reduce employee lost time.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar field

5+ years of HR experience with 2+ years in an HR Manager role required. Aerospace, Manufacturing or industrial experience strongly desired

Labor relations experience including CBA negotiations, administration, grievance and arbitration.

Professional certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP or other HR Certificate program is a plus

Due to ITAR/EAR requirements, the successful candidate must be a US Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident)
