You are looking for a remote, part-time, experienced HR Manager and Recruiting Liaison position that can support C4Media management on HR initiatives and recruiting

Job Description

HR Management:

  • Monitor internal feedback channels for any positive or negative signs affecting staff morale
  • Onboard new staff to establish a great starting experience by establishing and conducting orientation and coordinate training programs
  • Maintain HR policies by preparing, updating and publishing guidelines initiated by management and recommend additional HR policies and procedures based on best practices
  • Offer to be a sounding board for staff who would like to consult with someone who is not their manager
  • Answer staff questions in regards to HR policies
  • Update management on internal and external HR related issues
  • Alert C4Media management to any potential legal issue or changes in legislation related to HR
  • Conduct and analyze exit interviews; Recommend changes to C4Media
  • Conduct regular salary reviews and research
  • Maintain legally compliant staff HR files related to recruiting, performance reviews, exit interviews, terminations, resignations, maternity leave, sabbaticals, vacation time, SOW (Statement of Work), employment contracts, benefits, etc
  • Reports to Director of Events. Direct Reports: None

Recruiting Liaison:

  • Build, groom and maintain a responsive and effective network of recruiters and recruiting agencies to help fill open jobs
  • Manage a network of professional recruiters for niche roles
  • Maintain updated job descriptions and expectations for all active and upcoming roles
  • Update and track recruitment files, coordinate job advertising across appropriate media and internal job postings
  • Implement the geo-staffing requirements of C4Media
  • Maintain salary guidelines and competitive analysis
  • Suggest recruiting, testing, and interviewing strategies for each open position
  • Counsel managers on candidate selection
  • Coordinate candidate testing, including role-specific testing as well as DISC and Clifton Strength Finder
  • Perform reference and background checks on candidates


  • Fluent in English - both verbal and written
  • University Degree or Masters in Human Resources
  • 15+ years’ experience in HR
  • Contractor position
  • 20 hours per week total
  • Must work C4Media core hours of EST 9 am to 1 pm at least 3 days/ week
  • Fully functioning home office with high-speed internet
  • Computer-literate and comfortable with sharing documents (i.e. Google Docs), conducting video-calls (i.e. Skype, Zoom) and using online team productivity tools (i.e. YouTrack, Slack)
