  • Administers employee benefit programs, such as Health, Dental, Vision, Life, LTD and 401k plans, as well as vacation policy, holiday policy, etc.
  • Investigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance carrier.
  • Works with designated third party administrator to investigate and resolve employee Worker’s Compensation issues.
  • Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization, ensuring timely reviews are provided annually to each employee.
  • Coordinates “on-boarding” of new employees, manages New Hire process from offer letter through completion of required paperwork, enrollment in benefits programs, distribution of announcements, e-mail and telephone set up, etc.
  • Manages HRIS system
  • Communicates employee leaves of absence information to payroll department, provides employees with necessary paperwork depending on type of leave requested. Provides managers and appropriate insurance providers with required information.
  • Communicates with employees regarding changes in company policies.
  • Manages relationships with insurance carriers and insurance broker to ensure company interest is protected, employee issues are resolved and contracts are adhered to accurately.
  • Coordinates with department managers to fill need for temporary office personnel from approved temporary agencies.
  • Maintains Employee HR and Worker’s Compensation files in office. Ensures terminated and obsolete files are properly destroyed once the mandatory storage period has expired.
  • Assists management team in completion of employee requisitions and hiring process as required, including posting of approved job descriptions, interviewing and processing of back ground checks.
  • Recruits, interviews, and tests candidates to fill vacant positions.
  • Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
  • Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
  • Prepares employee termination and separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
  • Prepares LOA paperwork to ensure company remains in compliance with State and Federal regulations.
  • Knowledge in 401K filing
  •  Knowledge in State & Local Payroll Taxes 



  • Bachelor’ Degree in Human Resources or related business field
  • 10+ years’ experience in a human resources supervisory position
  • Comprehensive understanding of local, state and federal employment laws
  • Strong understanding of Paychex & ADP HRIS system
  • Effective interpersonal skills, able to interact and manage employees, communicate effectively with other department managers and senior management;
  • Strong leadership skills, able to motivate employees to ensure smooth operations;
  • Able to quickly assess situations and make decisions when problems arise, such as identifying defects in the production line;
  • Able to meet all deadlines, prioritize tasks and manage time effectively;
  • Proficient in MS office including Excel – required
  • Strong attentions to detail skills are - required
  • Experience with SOX compliance - preferred
  • Experience developing and meeting a budget – required
