The Human Resources Manager is responsible for ensuring all HR related and administrative functions for the Plant or DC location are completed accurately and on-time. This role will be responsible for the successful management of personnel practices and policies for Renfro team members. The HR Manager responsibilities include recruitment, policy interpretation and administration, employee relations, benefits administration, and other duties as necessary to ensure maximum effectiveness of the Human Resources function.



Major responsibilities will include:

  • Work with management team in all aspects of the hiring/placement process including: job posting, applicant screening, verification of employment paperwork, employment offers, on-boarding and progression plan.
  • Work with employees handling all employee relations issues;
  • Enroll all employees in benefits and payroll system.
  • Direct contact for 401K, pension, and payroll issues, partner with corporate team for support;
  • Consult with management on employee issues, counseling’s and terminations;
  • Partner with management for promotions and pay increases:
  • Assist with policy compliance and administrative procedures as needed;
  • Assist with on-site aspects of Workers Compensation to include working with plant management on restrictions and return to duty;
  • Direct contact for outside Counsel handling Worker’s Compensation issues;
  • Investigate EEO, Wage and Hour, OSHA, or Harassment complaints;
  • Organize all employee events to include Employee Appreciation Luncheon;
  • Responsible for administration of Wellness Program and Committee, plan Health fair and any activities related to Wellness Program;
  • Resource for customer audits; organize all documents requested by auditor, ensure all safety aspects are in order;              
  • Track payroll indexes/cost for facility;
  • Ensure that all payroll is timely and accurate, and payroll records are organized weekly with complete documentation for any pay changes, deductions, adders or rate changes;
  • Adhere to company policies, including attendance and punctuality
  • Communicate with co-workers, management and others in a courteous and professional manner;
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions including but not limited to confidentiality requirements.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administrations with an emphasis in Human Resource Management or related field and/or combination of relevant educations, training and experience.



  • Knowledge of appropriate legislation pertaining to employment, compensation, benefits and other related human resources functions.
  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Ability to take initiative and perform tasks independently with minimal oversight, consistently meeting goals and deadlines.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet/exceed company goals.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization.
  • Must be able to work unsupervised and thrive in a stressful environment.
  • Ability to travel 25%
