The human resource generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management in supporting designated centers. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, training, performance management, on-boarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, and employment law compliance. Must be willing to work occasional weekends

Duties to include but not limited to:

  • Liaison between Corporate HR and Center Management (CM), as needed
  • Coaches, counsels and guides managers before executing employee disciplinary actions
  • Manages and tracks all employee disciplinary action. Assisting with employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing
  • Tracks and trends HR-related/staffing issues ?reports findings to CM/corporate
  • Leads employee investigations, including but not limited to Address/Resolve/Advance all Employee Concern Forms (compliance related matters, etc. a combined effort with center management)
  • Monitors timekeeping for center
  • Leads recruitment efforts for center, including phone interviews, attending interviews as needed, preparing offer letters and scheduling new hire for Orientation
  • Present in most employee counseling sessions, terminations and HR investigations
  • Helps prepare non-SOP related HR documentation for counseling sessions, as needed
  • Assists Training Manager on certain topics and HR rep for orientation
  • Performs random and scheduled (employee assessments) customer service audits
  • Communicates new HR directives to management and employees
  • Assists with morale boosting endeavors and employee-related events
  • Presents HR topics at staff meetings. Participates in staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars as needed
  • On-site HR representative for all other matters
  • Participates or silently attends some or all focus group meetings
  • Hosts dedicated weekly office hours (5-6 hrs/week or so) to allow for scheduled or walk-in concerns, mentoring (B+ career advancement advice), etc
  • Approves and submits staff scrub reimbursements to AP
  • Monitors tardy and absenteeism reports and ensures proper documentation is issued on employees who have excessive tardiness or absenteeism problems
  • Maintains company organization charts and the employee directory
  • Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations
  • Lead and ensure annual OSHA and CGMP audits are completed for center staff
  • Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions


Little to no travel is expected for this position, except for occasional recruiting events

Preferred Education and Experience

A bachelor's degree and two to four years of HR experience, or five years of experience in the HR field, or any similar combination of education and experience
