Human Resources Generalist

Under the supervision and in conjunction with the Director of Operations, the Human Resources Generalist (HRG) provides a wide variety of both complex and routine services including recruitment, reference checks, ACA employer reporting, onboarding follow-up, employee relations, HRIS, policy and employee handbook updates, documentation, performance evaluations and labor law compliance.



• Assists with reconciling benefits statements.

• Assists with ACA compliance and reporting.

• Assists with employee relations documentation.

• Assists with collecting data and preparing reports relating to HR activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, etc.)

• Assists with benchmarking positions against market to ensure competitive compensation.

• Conducts pre-orientation of new employees by reaching out and providing orientation information packets.

• Assists with obtaining temporary staff from agencies.

• Assists in HR initiatives: training and development, skills assessment.

• Assists HR Director with various research projects and/or special projects.

• Assists with identifying and monitoring effective recruiting sources.

• Assists with compliance and applicable employment and labor regulations.

• Assists with producing relevant metrics and reports (affirmative action, turnover, exit interviews).

• Coordinates implementation and maintenance of HRIS.

• Performs other duties as assigned.






• Exceptional customer service skills.

• Excellent organizational skills

• Solid HR background and understanding of recruitment, performance evaluations and labor relations.

• Knowledge of federal and local labor laws

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Experience investigating matters and making recommendations based on findings.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

• Ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels and works with a variety of people with diverse backgrounds.

• Proficient with HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite
