East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP), is a $30 million multi-site and fully integrated health and human service non-profit agency with over 550 employees. We are seeking a full time Human Resource (HR) Generalist to become part of our HR and Communications Team providing support to managers for a wide variety of business initiatives in alignment with the mission and vision of our agency.

The HR Generalist reports to the Vice President of Human Resources and Communications and will be engaged in all areas of HR including recruitment, training and development, safety, employee relations, performance management, and communications. She/He requires excellent communication skills, a high attention to detail, strong knowledge of Microsoft products, the ability to multi-task, and interface well with all levels of management.

The position requires a minimum of three to four years of experience in HR including but not limited to HR policies and procedures, understanding of HR best practices and current regulations, and knowledge of employment law and hiring processes. Individuals with a Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or a related field are preferred, but documented and progressive experience in the field of HR are equally valued. Prior experience in a social service agency is helpful. The chosen candidate must be able to work independently, problem solve, and function well in a team environment.
