The Human Resources Generalist administers human resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes creativity, engagement, collaboration and high standards of productivity and quality.  The goal is to provide ongoing support and development of a superior workforce.

  • Responsible for benefit administration, including claims and issue resolution, change reporting, billing reconciliation, communication to employees, and fostering relationships with providers.
  • Support and administer the annual Open Enrollment process.
  • Conduct new employee benefits onboarding to foster positive attitudes, improve productivity and build company loyalty and engagement.
  • Coordinate the administration of employee leave requests.
  • Support HR management as needed in all phases of employee relations activities.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the Human Resource Information system.
  • Update and maintain HR intranet site (SharePoint); develop workflows and troubleshoot issues.
  • Actively participate in the design, planning, and rollout of HR initiatives as per HR Management. Participate in developing and accomplishing department goals.
  • Protect interests of Company and its employees in accordance with human resources policies, federal and state laws, and regulations.
  • Support managers in all HR-related matters consistent with the values of Coverys, ensuring prompt communication and resolution of issues.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.

                                                                                                                                                                        


Requirements

Education, Requirement & Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, a concentration in Human Resources preferred
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a prior Human Resources role
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred.  
  • Prior working knowledge of HRIS software; familiarity with ADP Workforce Now is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in MS Office necessary; strong technical skills in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of HR policies and practices. Knowledge of “best practices.”
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, i.e., poised and engaging, empathetic communication style that can enliven, engage, and positively impact individuals.
  • Ability to act quickly and efficiently with high degree of professionalism. Persists and finishes projects despite obstacles, or redirects when necessary; takes extra steps to prevent mistakes or create opportunities.
  • Exhibits superior customer service orientation. Views all staff as internal customers and treats as #1 priority. Acts proactively and focuses on customer satisfaction.
  • Willingness to take initiative and thrives in a small team environment.
