Mental Health Connecticut, Inc. hasan immediate full-time (Monday-Friday: 9am-5pm) opening for aHuman Resources & Executive Assistant within the West Hartfordarea.

 

Salary Range: $17-$19 per hour commensurate with experience. MHC offers a competitive benefits package which includes:

This professional level nonexempt position will assist in performing a variety of administrative and human resources delated duties associated with recruiting, compliance, employee relations, payroll, on-boarding, applicant screening, unemployment compensation, affirmative action, training, and other related functions as assigned.

 

Reports to: Human ResourcesManager

 

The Human Resources & Executive Assistantresponsibilities include:

  • Effectively work with and assist a diverse group of external callers and visitors, as well as internal contacts at all levels of the organization.
  • Performs general administrative functions such as preparing reports and correspondence i.e. memos, letters, printing/binding presentations and other documents. Making copies, scanning, faxing, and filing. Proofread copy for spelling, grammar and layout, suggesting appropriate changes as required.
  • Assists with recruitment efforts such as; posting open positions internally and externally, administering the distribution of qualified resumes, prescreening candidates, reference verification and process background checks.
  • Coordinates schedules and prepares materials for new employee orientations; verifies and maintains I-9 and other required Human Resources documentation; maintains company organization chart and employee directory.
  • Establishes and maintains department records and reports with accurate filing and database systems.
  • Assists with the collection, filing, and administration of health and welfare enrollments, changes and terminations.
  • Maintains all employee personnel files according to Federal and State laws and record retention policies.
  • Schedules meetings and maintains calendars for CEO, CHRO, and HR Manager as requested.
  • Prepares general employee relations messages such as; monthly birthday, get well, sympathy, and congratulatory communications to staff on behalf of HR/Executive Office for distribution.
  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
  • Maintain and organize office environment which includes; kitchen, lobby, and conference room areas; assist with daily mail distribution.
  • Assist with annual all staff meeting, agency fundraisers, and other organizational events.

Requirements

Educationand/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associates degree in a Human Resources Management or related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a professional environment and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

 

Certificates,Licenses, Registrations:Valid CT driver’s license, auto insurance and registration.
