Duties (not limited to the following):

  • Ensure compliance with HR laws and regulations governing FMLA, USERRA, New Hire Reporting and federal government contract compliance (i.e. Affirmative Action, EEO, VETS, Service Contract Act, etc.)
  • Manage employee relations and be actively involved in annual performance review process, policy development and terminations
  • Identify and take proactive actions on legal issues
  • Provide leadership and direction to the US HR team including responsibility for the HR Business Partners, Generalists, and Coordinator Act as a liaison between US HR team and Japan HR team and respond to all the inquiries in a timely manner
  • Serve as first point of contact for employees & managers and provide leadership, coaching and support for individual employee needs & HR processes
  • Provide expertise and guidance in all areas of organization support, including: HR and business strategy alignment, organization design, workforce planning, culture and change management, leadership development and coaching, pipeline development, and succession planning
  • Partner with the business leader(s) horizontally and vertically to develop and execute both long-term and short-term HR strategies that directly support and enable business objectives
  • Develop and drive strategies to attract, develop, engage and retain strong and diverse talent

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in related area
  • Experience in one or more of the following industries: Aerospace, Engineering, Technology
  • 12 to 15 years of HR business experience and sufficient knowledge of WA state labor law
  • Expert in handling employee relations matters with legal knowledge
  • Experience in working at a global manufacturing company with 200-500 employees
  • Working experience at Japanese firm is preferred but not required
  • Great communication skills with attention to every detail
