Job Summary:

Provides administrative support to the Human Resources Manager ensuring that personnel actions are processed accurately and timely. Assists in Benefits Enrollment, Staffing, Onboarding, and responding to associate questions and concerns.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages requisition process with temporary staffing agency and internal job posting process.

  • Responsible for entering new hires and new temporary workers into timekeeping system, and processing all new hire paperwork, status changes, transfers, promotions, leaves and terminations.

  • Completes I-9 verification and obtains supporting documents, completes e-Verify for work eligibility and submits regulatory paperwork for all new hires.

  • Maintains personnel files, including medical and training documentation.

  • Coordinates employee recognition programs including service awards, birthdays, and employee incentives.

  • Administers all personal and FMLA leaves in compliance with state and federal laws.

  • Prepares Separation Notices and responds to Unemployment Compensation claims.

  • Acts as site subject matter expert in employee benefits programs and is responsible for enrolling new hires and answering benefits-related questions.

  • Maintains knowledge of company policies, including Employee handbook and Code of Ethics; serves as resource for associate and supervisor policy questions.

  • Maintains Company bulletin boards with up-to-date required postings

  • Arranges for catering and meals for employees, visitors and auditors.

  • Acts as back-up payroll specialist for payroll processing.

  • Assists site leadership team and Human Resources Manager as directed.



Four-year degree strongly preferred. Associates degree, professional certification and work experience may be substituted for degree.


  • At least one year providing human resources or payroll support in a manufacturing facility.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint

  • Knowledgeable of regulatory requirements, i.e. OSHA, FLSA, AAP, EEO, OFCCP, ERISA, Immigration, FMLA, ADA, and BRC
