I.      POSITION PURPOSE

 

Responsible to provide administrative support to the Human Resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry. Also responsible for assistance with and facilitation of HR processes for all departments, including administration of employee health and welfare plans by acting as liaison between employees and insurance providers, resolving benefits-related problems and ensuring effective use of plans and positive employee relations. Also responsible to make certain that HR policies/processes are administered in accordance with Federal and State regulations.

 II.      ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

  • Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions
  • Administer health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations
  • Assist with recruitment and interview process, including providing and reviewing employment applications, scheduling meetings and interviews as requested by Hiring Managers
  • Track status of candidates in HRIS and respond with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process
  • Process employee background checks/employment verifications
  • Perform new employee onboarding, including all new hire forms; i.e., offer letters, tax withholding forms, I-9 forms, benefits enrollment forms, etc.
  • Process required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions
  • Prepare and maintain employee personnel files in accordance with proscribed process and applicable laws
  • Assist with the preparation of the performance review process
  • Assist/prepare correspondence as requested and disseminate pertinent HR information to employees
  • Ensure Club’s compliance with HR regulations
  • Process and submit Worker’ compensation insurance reports – Track Claims
  • Interact with and serve as liaison to the Employee Benefits Committee
  • Assist with/administer 401K employee loans/in-service withdrawals
  • Assist Assistant General Manager in the counseling process of employees and disciplinary procedures
  • Assist with processing of terminations/off boarding
  • Other duties as assigned

 III.      MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 

  • HS Degree or GED equivalent; Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university preferred
  • 3+ years of administrative experience; prior HR experience preferred
  • SHRM or HRCI certification or ability to obtain within 2 years
  • Or Any similar combination of education and experience
  • Experience with Club designated HRIS software
  • Demonstrated excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and Calculator
  • Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal/relationship-building skills
  • Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service
