The American Trucking Associations is looking to add a motivated, proactive, and passionate Human Resources Coordinator to their team. The HR Coordinator role is an excellent opportunity for a human resources professional who is looking to grow within their field. If you possess astute professionalism, stellar customer service skills, and are up for the challenge of supporting a full-service in-house human resources department, this is the role for you!

This position is first point of contact for the human resources department and is primarily responsible for providing administrative support to the department. The incumbent in this position manages the department’s workflow to ensure an optimal level of efficiency of the day-to-day operations. The HR Coordinator coordinates the front desk workflow and serves as backup to as needed. This position also provides administrative support for the facilities department by ordering supplies and coordinating vendor schedules as needed.


Education – BA/BS plus 0-2 years’ experience in preferably in Human Resources or other related field.

Must be detail oriented with the ability to perform all administrative functions with a high degree of accuracy and be well versed in professional office procedures. Understanding and working knowledge of the Internet and MS Office applications are essential. Prior experience working with database applications preferred.

This position must maintain the ability to perform the functions of this position while utilizing the utmost in diplomacy, confidentiality, professionalism, and tact. The majority of information held within the Human Resources department is privileged, and the incumbent is expected to secure this information while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times. As a Human Resources professional, the incumbent should be committed to act as a change agent and advocate for the organization as a whole, while aligning HR initiatives that support corporate strategies, build stakeholder value, and help shape the organization’s image.
