The purpose of this position is to provide a high level of customer focused HR support to the line business organization in Oklahoma City.  It will provide “one stop shopping” to business leaders and provide people related solutions to drive high performance in the department, COE and/or enterprise.  The Corporate HR Business Partner is responsible for driving and supporting human capital strategy and high-value HR processes aligned to overall corporate strategy.  This is a professional level position with generalist responsibilities that will encompass providing guidance and counsel to the internal recruiting function as it relates to open positions for client groups.  Talent management, employee relations, compensation guidance, general leadership training, monitoring and resolving morale, work climate and leadership effectiveness issues. The successful individual will counsel leaders on implementation of the performance management system as well as the use of effective performance management techniques. The incumbent must be able to build strong partnerships with their client organizations, and also act as an advocate of the employee/manager relationship. Lead special projects as needed.

 Responsible for providing effective employee relations service by utilizing excellent problem solving and relationship skills, an in-depth knowledge of human resources generalist issues as well as policies and procedures, and knowledge of company products and services.

 It is important that this individual support and drive HR strategy through the business in partnership with senior management. The Corporate Business Partner will work closely with business leaders and the HR Leadership Team to support deployment of a comprehensive HR Strategy. The full range of generalist knowledge will be needed to drive successful labor strategy, performance management, compensation planning, and talent development.

 

Responsibilities include:

  1. Aligning global business strategies to HR strategies and initiatives, diagnosing business challenges, exploring alternative solutions and recommending best-fit solutions.
  2. Work closely with business leaders and the HR Leadership Team to support deployment of a comprehensive HR Strategy.
  3. Partner with Talent Management COE in managing proper succession and high potential planning in line with the defined strategy and needs of the business. Ensure continual performance improvement within the corporate functions, driving processes to facilitate improvement.
  4. Identify and recommend Training & Development needs. Communicate same to Talent Management.
  5. Employee Relations – Provide HR consulting expertise to all levels of management and employees.  Consults with employees and managers to address root causes of issues and resolve through a systematic and analytical approach, including investigations.  Act as employee advocate to ensure adequate representation and timely resolution of employee issues.
  6. Establish and manage an HR structure that will provide the least likelihood that a union would attempt to unionize employees thus eliminating company disruptions to operations and increased cost of operation.
  7. Promote diversity in the entire workforce to meet EEO Objectives and smooth operations in all organizational units.
  8. Safety/WC management.
  9. Ensure consistent discipline practices and legal compliance.
  10. Identify any compensation issues and recommend solutions.
  11. Ensure compliance with Company policies and ensure a consistent practice.
  12. Identify problems central to business strategy and forecast potential obstacles to success

Requirements

Educational Background:

  • University Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • PHR/SPHR Certification Preferred

 Professional Experience:

  •  5 -7  years experience in a Human Resource Business Partner role

 Knowledge:

  • Cross functional HR and Human Capital Strategy knowledge
  • Strong understanding of Employment Laws
  • Experience executing Talent management practices
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business and financial practices.
