We have a powerful one-to-one individual giving model globally that has connected tens of thousands of supporters directly to the women we serve and to the women’s movement, which provides funding for 70% of our work. Partnerships with donor governments and with foundations have allowed us to expand further.   We serve women in eight countries offering support, tools, and access to life-changing skills to move from crisis and poverty to stability and economic self-sufficiency.

Our Global HR team is engaged in supporting employee lifecycle and fosters an employee oriented, high performing culture that emphasizes excellence and collaboration.

We are currently recruiting for a Human Resources Business Partner, Headquarter (HQ) to manage and coordinate the delivery of human resources services and programs to the DC Headquarter teams. This position reports to the Global Director, Human Resources and Organization Development.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Human Resources Management

  • Manage HR policies, programs and practices relating to employment, employee relations, compensation administration, benefit administration, orientation and employee services of the HQ to support WfWI organizational culture.
  • Provide guidance to HQ staff and managers on HR policies, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Consult with managers on workforce planning and talent management.
  • Contribute to the design and conduct of employee engagement surveys, including exit and retention interviews to improve retention and staff wellness.
  • Manage the compensation and reward programs for the US office, conduct periodic salary surveys, perform job evaluation, analyzes compensation, monitors salary increases to ensure competitiveness, compliance and equity.
  • Oversee the compensation administration and payroll preparation as well as the organization’s benefit programs (retirement plans, leave policies, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance) and related systems.
  • Conducts training on HR policies and Code of Conduct.
  • Advise managers and employees to resolve employee relations issues. Conduct effective and objective investigations if required.
  • Provide oversight and ensure adherence to HR regulatory compliance, new hire reporting requirements ensuring data quality, timeliness, and file retention.
  • In partnership with the HR team ensures that all HQ data is accurately entered into the HRIS system and kept up to date. Oversee the maintenance and communication of records required by law or other departments.
  • Contribute to the development and revision of global and HQ organizational policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and communicate timely regular monthly, quarterly and annual HR reports and metrics.
  • Liaise with department vendors.
  • Mentor and supervise HQ HR junior staff.

Recruitment and Onboarding

  • Lead recruitment for all employees for HQ hiring, participates in recruitment campaigns, job fairs, college relations programs, employee referrals; network referrals programs etc. to support WfWI employee brand.
  • Facilitates process of candidate selection; interviewing; extend job offer; conduct reference checks, oversee background and terrorist checks.
  • Provide oversight for HR Orientation and participate in the design and development of organizational orientation program

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Human Resources or other relevant field.
  • 5 to 7 years of related experience in recruitment, compensation, benefits, performance management and employee relations required. Preference for advanced HR Generalist experience.
  • Familiar with relevant Federal & State/District laws governing HR.
  • Experience with an international organization required.
  • Experience and fluency with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Strong judgment, decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong organizational, planning and analytical skills, including prioritization, project management, and critical evaluation.
  • Strong customer service, relationship and interpersonal skills, including consultation and advisory skills, cultural awareness, and ethical practice.
  • HR certification (SPHR, GPHR) considered a plus.
  • Willingness to travel if needed desired.
