Human Resources Assistant 


Reports to: Vice President, Human Resources 


Summary of Position: The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a full range of administrative and supportive services to the Human Resources team. This person will ensure that our HR team is organized and successfully operates to attract, hire, and retain outstanding employees.

 

Typical Duties:                        

  • Assist with day-to-day operations of HR functions, including coordinating HR policies, programs, and relevant documents
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to HR team
  • Compile and update employee records
  • Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys, etc.)
  • Data entry and management
  • Benefits administration and recordkeeping (open enrollment process, invoices, scheduling meetings and info sessions, data entry and data management)
  • Manage HR team calendars and scheduling (training classes, on-campus and in-office recruiting events, interviews, promotion celebrations, new employee orientation meetings, etc.)
  • Research miscellaneous projects for HR team (awards, new programs, training opportunities, benefits, etc.)
  • Manage Human Resources content on Blach intranet
  • Provide assistance with employee relocations
  • Coordinate, prepare for, and follow-up on new employee orientations and exits (paperwork, scheduling, data entry, etc.)
  • Prepare documents for monthly Leadership Team meetings
  • Create documents for compensation increases and bonuses
  • Assist with the administration of summer intern Boot Camp program, orientations, check-in meetings, etc.
  • Compile materials for career fairs and recruiting events
  • Become trained on front desk responsibilities and serve as a back-up for front desk team when necessary
  • Manage documentation for annual performance conversations
  • Serve as the hub for all HR documents
  • Regularly update resume/candidate database
  • Assist with coordination of quarterly All-Staff meeting
  • Provide administrative support to Events Manager for employee events
  • Process expense reports and credit card statements for HR team
  • Manage employee giveaway orders (clothing, employee gifts, college recruiting giveaways)

 

Skills/Qualifications:            

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Extreme attention to detail, highly organized
  • Proactive, takes initiative on all projects
  • Highly confidential and diplomatic
  • Excellent communication skills, especially writing and proofing skills
  • Great analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Problem solver, solutions-oriented

 

Position Status: Full-time, regular business hours, non-exempt
