Human Resources Assistance

The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for the general administration of the HR department while providing assistance with payroll and benefits.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

  • Serves as an HR assistant to the HR dept.

  • Assist in managing workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed through ADP, both on computer and paper system.

  • Assist in processing garnishment and tax withholding changes.

  • Maintain employee records of 500+ employees. Personnel file maintenance, including filing.

  • Assist in processing and maintain all status changes, both on computer and paper system.

  • Assist in processing accurate and timely year-end reporting when necessary (W-2).

  • Respond to unemployment claims and employment verification in a timely manner.
  • Conduct I-9 filing and auditing weekly.
  • Assist in the preparation of payroll for all changes.
  • Assist as needed with ordering office supplies and maintaining the office supply inventory.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Associates degree in HR or related field, but experience and/or other training/certification may substitute for the education.

  • At least 1 year of Administrative/HR experience preferred

  • ADP Workforcenow experience preferred but not required

  • Excellent Customer Service skills

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office program Excel
