Position Summary           

The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for administering HR policies and procedures to employees in Houston, Texas and Nevada.  These duties include providing support in the following areas: new hire processing, onboarding, WOTC, I-9 completion, and support for our People Team. Specific duties are outlined below. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • New Hire Processing for multiple regions.
    • Send offer letters, submit background checks, assign new hire onboarding checklist, assure new hire paperwork is complete, set up personnel file, enter new hires in all payroll and club software, send out approval email to managers.
    • Generate and distribute weekly onboarding report to management team.
    • Track Work Opportunity Tax Credit opportunities.
    • Review I-9s for accuracy and maintain I-9 file.
    • Track CPR Certification to ensure completion.
    • Enter CPR, PT and other certification data into HRIS.
    • Uniform distribution

Requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Minimum of 1 year HR experience in an HR Department as an Assistant, Administrator or Coordinator
  • Must have a high level of professionalism, honesty, integrity, and work ethic
  • Work independently and within a team, positive attitude.
  • Able to evaluate where issues may be happening, analyze why and game plan a solution
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours
  • Proficient in the use of MS office products including word, powerpoint and excel.

 

Required Experience, Education and Certifications

  • High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

Language Skills

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common business related documents such as Membership Agreement, handbook, labor laws, benefits plans and such in English
  • Ability to respond, verbally and in writing, to common inquiries or complaints from customers, teammates and governmental organizations
