NeoPollard Interactive (our awesome Company begins with a cool name!) is in hot pursuit of an HR/Talent professional to be part of our Lansing, Michigan team. Neopollard enables regulated lottery clients to generate revenues for good causes.

As the Human Resources and Talent Partner, you will collaborate with the Executive team to build HR/Talent strategies, redefine and execute our Talent Acquisition processes, and coach/guide key business partners in Employee Relations, Labor Relations and policy adherence.

This position reports to Vice President of Operations in a high-tech, start-up company with fast-paced, challenging work and tremendous career growth potential. More About this Exciting Role…

The Human Resources and Talent Partner is the key HR onsite leader for our headquarters and is responsible for defining and driving people and business initiatives for the company. Strategic thinking, a bias for action and innovation and stellar analytical thinking skills will make you successful in this role.

You will be responsible for end-to-end HR/Talent processes - talent acquisition, on-boarding, employee relations, performance management, leadership development, compliance with government regulations, off-boarding and all the administration associated with the above.

Your key challenges and opportunities:

  • Strategy, strategy, strategy
  • Partner with the business to understand the goals and priorities for each year and quarter. Assess and determine HR priorities given the direction of the business. Establish the annual operating plan, budget guidelines, staffing plans, expense planning and resource plans.
  • Partner with corporate Human Resources to develop strategies and initiatives designed to enhance organizational effectiveness, and implement policies and programs for all things HR and Talent
  • Conduct wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage rates
  • Talent Acquisition and Employee Retention
  • Ensures all talent acquisition requirements of the company are met and that best-qualified candidates for the role are sourced (internally and externally) and integrated into the company
  • Participate in networking opportunities with new graduates and placement offices at universities, colleges, and technical schools; user groups; and professional societies
  • Provide current and prospective employees with information about company policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, and opportunities for promotion and employee benefits
    • Employee Relations:
    • Supports and guides managers and employees by on employee relations, discipline, investigations coaching, application of policies and procedures, employment law and performance management matters  
      • HR Metric Management:
      • Define and report on HR metrics. Use data and analytics to drive insights that can be used to improve HR operations
        • Benefit Administration:
        • Coordinate FMLA and LOA requests
        • Maintain and provide updates or communications for benefits program such as life, health, dental, 401K, vacation, and employee assistance
          • Record keeping:
          • Maintain all required HR records including government filings and other essential employee record retention requirements
          • Manage employee data audits as well as associated policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable Federal and State law

Have Worked Hard:

  • To earn a bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Human Resources or Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Build HR skills (min. 6 years experience)
  • Build Talent Acquisition skills (min. Minimum of 3 years experience)
  • Build Employee Relations skills (Minimum of 3 years of experience)
