The HR Administrator is responsible for coordinating and developing programs and projects that support several human resource functions.  These functions include benefits and recruitment, payroll HRIS maintenance and employee relations.

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Conducts pre-employment interviews and screens candidates. Receives and tracks employment applications. Prepares recruitment lists and job postings. Processes background checks, including criminal, credit and other reports. Processes employment verification forms.
  • Accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll including, but not limited to, file export and import, paid leave reimbursement, garnishments, reconciliation, reporting and 401(k) data transmittal.
  • Computes and records payroll data. Ensures payroll records are in compliance and ensures payroll functions are performed in accordance with established policies and tracks and reports payroll information. Resolves payroll errors.
  • Manages leaves of absence in accordance with FMLA and organization guidelines.
  • Administers the benefit plans including new employee enrollment/education and open enrollment.
  • Assists with new employee orientation.
  • Serves as a resource for employee inquiries regarding, but not limited to, timekeeping, payroll and benefits and employment policies.
  • Enters new hire information in the human resources information systems. Oversees and maintains human resources information systems (HRIS) and ensures records are accurately recorded and consistent across multiple systems.
  • Ensures human resource files and records are maintained.
  • Ensures EEO reporting data is up-to-date.
  • Coordination of new hire, transfer, promotion and termination administrative processes.
  • Assists with event planning and execution, such as wellness events and 401(k) educational meetings.
  • Produces and disseminates reports as needed.
  • Respond to employment and salary verification requests.
  • Retrieve, respond to, and /or distribute incoming department mail, fax communications and voicemail messages daily.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS


  • Minimum of five years experience with HRIS, payroll processing, recruiting, and benefits.
  • College degree (BA or BS in a relevant field).
  • SHRM Certification preferred.
  • Excellent human relations and communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills and extreme attention to detail.
  • Possess qualities on confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion.
  • Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
