Please note: In addition to the base salary posted, this position is eligible for substantial profit sharing and mgt. incentive bonus -could total in excess of 20%. This is for an enlightened divisional Headquarters, reporting to the VPHR

The successful candidate will have a 4 yr. degree, and comprehensive HR generalist experience.

Our client has retained us to find a qualified individual to provide administrative, and supervisory support and knowledge in the following areas: recruiting and staffing, compensation, benefits, training, and development, division-wide payroll, employee relations, payroll, and many other responsibilities. In addition, candidates should recognize that this position involves substantial administrative responsibilities.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Recruits applicants for positions via various recruitment sources

2. Interviews and screens all applicants for s; refers qualified candidates to appropriate department manager/supervisor

3. Assists VP with hiring decisions

4. Performs reference checks on potential employees, by telephone and in writing

5. Processes new employees in terms of payroll and benefits; informs new employees of all pertinent information.

6. Assists in the implementation of policies and procedures; may explain or interpret certain policies as required

8. Assists in the maintenance of up-to-date job descriptions of positions throughout the company

9. Responsible for accurate and timely processing of all termination-related paperwork including trust accounts, final check and separation notice

10. Responsible for coordination and resolution of benefits/compensation questions/problems.

11. Prepare paperwork and enter all on-time deductions, payroll adjustments and vacation buy-backs.

12. Sole responsibility for accurate and timely employee personal data entries into HRIS (Success Factors) system.

13. Advises managers/supervisors of employee performance review schedule; follow up on delinquent or inconsistent reviews.

14. Process educational reimbursement requests.

15. Conducts new hire orientation, develops and conducts training to instruct establishment managers, supervisors and workers in human relations skills.

 

 

Requirements

Requirements & Preferred Competencies

· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and experience in business administration, human resources management, or similar discipline.

· Minimum 5-7 years exempt level human resources experience.

· Superior verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.

· Must possess high proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and HRIS; Success Factors proficiency a plus.

· Ability to organize and plan work in advance, deciding on the most efficient or convenient manner in which to accomplish assigned tasks or projects simultaneously. Exercises good judgment and maintains confidentiality.

· To successfully manage one’s own time to maximum advantage on a day-to-day basis.

· Ability to be depended on to report to work as scheduled and is seldom absent; completes timely manner.

· Initiative orientated; able to independently perform job functions with minimal supervision.

· Works and communicates effectively with others at varied levels within and outside the organization. Exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others and works to maintain constructive working relationships.

· Strong knowledge and understanding of insurance regulations, plan designs and third party record keeping and administration. Familiarity with COBRA, ERISA, FMLA and related state and federal regulations required. Human resources experience in a manufacturing environment desire
