Our team is growing rapidly and we are in need of a hands-on Human Resource Manager to help us build talent capability and actively promote our company as a leading employer in our area and in our industry. The HR Manager will play a pivotal role in establishing the function through the management of the staffing, employee relations HRIS, employee performance management and development, compensation, benefits and policy administration activities.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Manage the recruitment, selection, on boarding and retention programs to provide the company with the appropriate number, type and caliber of employees to meet short and long-range staffing needs. Work closely with hiring managers to identify needs.  
  • Implement and monitor creative, forward-thinking employee relations programs and communication to ensure a positive working environment and high employee morale. Actively create awareness of and contribute to the company’s reputation as a “best place to work.” 
  • Create and monitor the performance management program ensuring that the program is effective and contributes to a high level of employee performance and satisfaction. 
  • Identify staff training and development needs. Coordinate training. Ensure maintenance of compliance training records for all employees.
  • Oversee the administration of the company compensation and benefit programs. 
  • Ensure consistent administration of company policies and procedures in compliance with business objectives and applicable federal, state and local laws and legislation. 
  • Provide guidance and counsel to management and staff to resolve issues regarding employee-related matters. 
  • Ensure that company personnel records and data system are maintained in a timely, accurate and complete manner that facilitates management decision-making and fulfills all legal requirements and regulations. 
  • Keep management informed of trends, problems, practices, employment legislation, and other human resource issues affecting the business.

 

Requirements

Education/Work Experience

  • BA/BS degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • 5 - 7 years of human resource experience encompassing employment, training, performance management, compensation, benefits, employee relations and HRIS.
  • Proven track record as an HR business partner preferably in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of current federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Understanding of HRIS software
  • PHR, SHRM-CP or equivalent professional certification a plus

  • Ability to think creatively and provide hands-on
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to build positive work relationships with people at all levels in a diverse organization.
  • High level of energy and engagement
  • Ability to manage multiple work priorities in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure to meet deadlines and objectives.
  • Strong interviewing and assessment skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid ability to analyze data, solve problems and provide recommendations.
