Position Summary:

Responsible for all Human Resources, Talent Development, and Labor Relations strategies and initiatives in the division. Develop and implement division strategic Human Resources Business Plan aligned with business strategy and Customer 1st culture, ensuring a distinct competitive advantage for through our people. Actively participates with peers from other divisions and corporate Human Resources staff in enterprise-wide planning and development activities for new and existing Human Resources programs and policies. Ensure the division HR practices and actions strictly adhere to the local, state and federal laws and regulations, and company policies. Role model and demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of others.

Requirements

Essential Job Functions:

  • As a member of division senior staff, lead the division's strategy and planning related to all Human Resources, Labor and Talent Development activities.
  • Guide the division Human Resources team to develop and implement a division Human Resources Business Plan aligned with the division business objectives and the corporate Human Resources Business Plan.
  • Lead and ensure use and effectiveness of recruitment, workforce planning, talent development, leadership development, succession planning, and performance management throughout the division.
  • Partner with all management to promote harmonious labor relations. Foster the concept of safeguarding the Company's management rights.
  • Provide guidance to plants on strategy and direction of negotiations for collective bargaining agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local labor and employment laws and regulations.
  • Manage day-to-day associate relations and provide counseling to division management staff.
  • Partner with division and corporate staff in development of business and budget planning activities.
  • Coach division management in the effective, strategic use of the company's compensation programs, including salary offers and pay level determination, stock option allocation, and management of merit budget.
  • Advise senior staff on all Human Resources and legal issues.
  • Coordinate the delivery and use of talent management programs for division management positions and where appropriate, division non-exempt positions.
  • Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or related equivalent work experience.
  • 10 years previous experience, preferably progressive Human Resources experience in food industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate information to all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to build and maintain collaborate business partnerships.
  • Demonstrated ability to protect highly confidential and sensitive information.

Desired Previous Job Experience

  • 5-10 years Talent Management experience including recruiting/hiring, top talent identification, talent development, coaching, leadership development, succession management, and talent analytics.
  • 5-10 years Employee and Labor Relations experience including employee relations, labor relations and/or compensation, collective bargaining, pension, health and welfare management.
