The CDC Foundation seeks an energetic, people-focused, Human Resources (HR) Coordinator to help coordinate grant-related HR activities and assist with the smooth operation of the HR function. The HR Coordinator role will primarily be responsible for assisting grant related field and remote employees, as the first point of contact for HR. This position will be a full time, exempt position.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist with all aspects of the employee life-cycle, from recruitment and effective onboarding through to off boarding
• Work with managers and employees to foster positive relationships, address and resolve HR and employee relations issues with a systematic and human approach
• Implement company policies and initiatives through education, effective communication and issue resolution
• Maintain and organize all HR records and files in accordance with legal requirements and CDC Foundation policies
• Maintain HRIS, ensuring information is up to date, provide reports and analysis as required and for annual reporting requirements
• Serve as initial point of contact for field employees regarding benefits and other HR topics, providing timely assistance and escalating issues as appropriate
• Monitor relevant grant related milestones and provide adequate notice to employees and managers
• Collaborate and partner closely with the HR team and other internal operations departments
• Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years HR experience, preferably in a nonprofit environment (or any equivalent combination of education or experience)
• Prior experience using ADP WorkForce Now required
• Excellent knowledge of HR legal requirements and the ability to know when an issue needs to be escalated
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse groups of employees, managers, other agencies and key stakeholders
• A high degree of competence with Microsoft Office and HR/Benefits software and systems with an ability to learn quickly
• Excellent organizational and data management skills
• Experience servicing a remote and diverse internal customer base with a high degree of focus on customer service
• Outstanding interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, with a proven ability to convey a message appropriately, with absolute integrity and confidentiality
• Demonstrated negotiation, conflict resolution and change management skills
• Ability to remain open minded, flexible and willing to adapt to, and influence, change
