POSITION SUMMARY:
NantKwest is seeking a Human Capital Coordinator to perform entry-level work and support Human Capital functions in our Torrey Pines, CA location.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 
Under close supervision, performs the following: 
  • Assists with recruitment and selection processes for and works with hiring department representatives to establish selection criteria; evaluates applications and resumes
  • Assess recruitment needs and develops strategies for targeting appropriate job market
  • Assists with developing appraisal interview questions, rating sheets, and various testing instruments, including written tests, performance tests, technical oral exercises, and assessment centers; administers testing processes
  • Responds to grievances and other complaints regarding selection processes and other criteria used to make hiring decisions
  • Assists in performing job analyses and classification studies to determine proper allocation of jobs and employees; applies point factor analysis to ensure proper salary grade allocations
  • Provides information for salary surveys from outside sources
  • Conducts research, formulates recommendations, and prepares reports on various human resources subjects and studies
  • Assists in the implementation and administration of Human Resources programs and services such as alcohol and drug prevention, medical examinations, reasonable accommodation, and occupational health
  • Responds to human resources inquiries from employees and public
  • Maintains, supports, and promotes a safe work environment while complying with all of the Company safety rules, policies, and procedures
  • Contributes to ensuring that the EEO policies and programs are carried out

Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or other related field
  • 3 year experience performing administrative or paraprofessional work in human resources management OR 1 year internship experience performing Human Resources related work
  • Experience or knowledge of ADP Programs (Preferred) 
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES – KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
  • Theories, principles, and practices of human resources management, including recruitment, selection, classification, and compensation
  • Research and report preparation methods
  • Test construction and validation
  • EEO rules and regulations
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Perform entry-level human resources management work
  • Communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Interact professionally with various levels of Company employees and outside representatives
  • Prepare reports and correspondence
  • Represent the Company before the public
  • Handle highly confidential information
  • Meet tight time constraints and deadlines
  • Analyze situations and identify problems
  • Exercise judgement and creativity in decision manking
  • Compile and analyze data
  • Understand, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures, contracts, budgets, and labor/management agreements
