Description:

Reporting to the Associate Director, HRIS the HRIS/Payroll Analyst will administer electronic time and attendance for over 2000 employees including union staff, students, and summer camp employees. Administer the daily reporting to process and reconcile weekly transactions. Support the HRIS team with upgrades, system testing and reporting to ensure data integrity.

 CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer electronic time and attendance for over 2000 employees including union staff, students, and summer camp employees in the eTIME system. Review and reconcile weekly timecards prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
  • Review and audit eTIME timecards for accuracy and follow up with employees and managers as needed.
  • Review daily reporting to process and reconcile weekly transactions. Provide guidance to department managers and supervisors on the interpretation and utilization of these reports.
  • Monitor the tracking and classification of time in the timekeeping system to ensure accuracy and compliance to union guidelines and university policy.    
  • Research, analyze and resolve timesheet related issues ensuring timely and appropriate follow up.
  • Provide assistance to managers and employees in researching & resolving issues. Troubleshoot any issues with multiple interfaces between Banner and eTIME.
  • Audit, adjust and maintain Paid Time Off records for all eligible employees including multiple non-union and union categories.
  • Assist employees, staff, students as appropriate, in the procedural understanding and application of payroll and related human resources policies. Responsible for all manager and employee eTIME training and training documents.
  • Process related employment and appointment paperwork as required.
  • Advise employees on issues related to policies and resolves individual problems as required.
  • Provide additional support to HRIS team with report writing, testing and special projects as required.
 
 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree desirable.
  • Minimum 2 years HRIS experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Kronos or eTIME Time and Attendance System.
  • Experience working in unionized environment required.  
  • Experience with the Banner by Ellucian, PeopleSoft or similar HRIS system required.
  • This position requires the ability to operate successfully in a fast-paced environment. The candidate should have experience in situations requiring flexibility and should be motivated and able to operate independently with limited direction and supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline driven environment.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced skill level in Word,Excel and Access.
