We have an exciting opportunity for a HRIS Analyst in the Washington, DC office at Eversheds Sutherland (US) LLP. We are searching for someone who wants to be a valued contributor and member of a talented and dynamic team of lawyers, paralegals and staff.

The Human Resources Information System Analyst is responsible for maintenance of the HRIS system, overall data integrity and security access, accuracy of data and organization of employee information. This position will also be the Payroll backup support. The HRIS Analyst is a member of the HR team and will support the goals and activities of the Human Resources Department and the Finance Department.


Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Monitors and updates the HRIS and is the point of contact for user issues.
  • Updates account logins, permissions, ongoing reports and security measures.
  • Assists in preparing and providing information on employee demographics, trends and projections to senior management.
  • Assists in identifying new HR needs and the software products to fulfill these needs.
  • Provides user documentation and guidelines, as needed.
  • Provides overflow and backup to Payroll.
  • Performs routine audits on system data to ensure accuracy and correct incomplete information.
  • Troubleshoots, analyzes, and is the “go to” person for technical issues in the HRIS.
  • Organizes employee information and is responsible for maintaining Emergency Contacts.
  • Documents HR system processes.
  • Manages requests for survey data by pulling reports through the HRIS.
  • Assists HR managers with data mining to provide the most up-to-date and appropriate reporting needed.
  • Runs scheduled reports and creates reports for all administrative departments.
  • Provides final data reports in Excel, PDF or other formats as required for presentations, meetings, or other uses.
  • Validates and enters HR data in the HRIS for new hires, terminations, titles and status changes.
  • Provides data clean-up and monitors HRIS system for potential needed data updates.
  • Leads department in any new system functionality.
  • Provides support with testing and troubleshooting of upgrades and updated HRIS codes and tables.
  • Coordinates with the Technology Information Systems group to verify email/distribution lists with HRIS system.
  • Identifies users who require additional assistance or training based on usage issues.
  • Supports the HR team with department program activities and initiatives.
  • Enters and tracks time records for all staff.
  • Works with HR Managers to maintain, track and run reports on overtime for all staff.
  • Additional Human Resources related duties, as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required in Human Resources or other business-related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Five to seven years of experience working in a Human Resources Department. Experience in a similarly sized, multi-office legal or professional services organization, is preferred. Experience as an HRIS assistant or in an analyst capacity is required. Background and experience with Project Management is highly preferred.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented, organized and have strong ability to read, analyze, and process complex documentation. Ability to multi-task and prioritize workloads. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are required.
