Position Overview:

As an HR Total Rewards Analyst with Rolls-Royce, you will play a supportive role within the HR Reward Centre of Excellence, as we enhance the employee experience and promote the company value proposition through the design and implementation of innovative compensation and benefit programs, critical to attracting high caliber industry professionals.  This position is based in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area (WMA), specifically, Reston, Virginia. 

Key Accountabilities

  • Assisting in the day-to-day administration of health, welfare and retirement benefit plans as well as compensation programs (base pay, short- and long-term incentives)
  • Supporting and developing the overall benefits communication strategy for health, welfare and retirement to include new hire orientation materials, ongoing employee communications, exit materials and annual enrolment communications
  • Participating in user acceptance testing for open enrollment or related benefits changes to ensure the systems are meeting business requirements
  • Responding to escalated employee questions and concerns regarding Company benefits
  • Providing benefits program guidance to teams within the HR Shared Service Center, supporting projects, as well as developing and delivering training
  • Partnering with RRNA HRSSC to ensure all file transmissions reporting and regulation filings are administered correctly with vendors
  • Enhancing the employee experience by collaborating on process improvement activities to help employees leverage and optimize the available tools
  • Coordinating and participating in compensation benchmarking and market-pricing, including: job matching, preparing survey submissions and analyzing survey results
  • Supporting and assisting in job analysis and evaluation, new job code and job title approvals, internal equity studies, market pricing, Fair Labor Standards Act evaluations and other special compensation studies
  • Supporting the annual reward review process for compensation and the annual enrollment process for benefits
  • Supporting and performing various projects and duties, as required
  • Must be able to travel both domestically and internationally up to 10%, as required

  • A Bachelor`s Degree with 4+ years of HR Benefits and/or Compensation experience   OR
  • A Master`s Degree with 2+ years of HR Benefits and/or Compensation experience
  • Experience with intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel functionality, including extensive experience creating and working with pivot table
  • In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident


  • 4+ years of experience in Benefits and/or Compensation administration
  • Proficiency in Workday and/or SAP for functional setup, reporting, payroll and integrations
  • Experience analyzing large data sets and creating meaningful reports to present to senior stakeholders 
  • Proficient experience and knowledge with both Microsoft Word and PowerPoint functionality
  • Prior Lean process improvement methodology experience
