HR Systems Leader

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

  • The HR Systems Leader understands HR strategy, brings innovative solutions forward to enhance HR capability and administrative excellence through HR technology, and drives change leadership globally to ensure solutions are well-executed, value-added and sustainable.
  • The role is responsible for the governance and change control of the company’s global HR systems spanning the SAP/SuccessFactors suite of products, Kronos, BenefitFocus, and all associated integrations. This is done via a strong partnership with the GIS HR leader and HR Systems Lead for Talent Management.
  • The leader is a trusted advisor to the Total Rewards Center of Excellence covering systems and related processes for payroll, compensation, equity programs, benefits and global mobility. The leader contributes to the creation of the overall HR systems roadmap and is accountable to deliver initiatives relating to Total Rewards.

Leads a team of two. Directs the work of the company’s third-party HR systems support providers and operations consultants. Supports a globally distributed group of HR leaders, HR administrators, Kronos Pay Administrators, and HR COE subject matter experts.
 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • HR Systems Governance
    • Partners with the HR director, GIS HR leader, and HR systems lead for talent management in assessing and facilitating new requests into the overall HR systems portfolio of work. Maintains the HR Systems and Payroll COE resource and prioritization model.
    • Chairs the HR Systems Governance Board that manages and coordinates HR technology change activities across our highly integrated production environments. Accountable for overall risk identification and mitigation as part of change control.
    • Coordinates release management activities to ensure user stability.
    • Accountable for ensuring all audit requirements are met for system security and role based permissions.
    • Single point of contact for HR Systems with internal audit and internal controls.
  • Total Rewards Systems Leadership and Delivery
    • Establish creditability and strong relationships within the Total Rewards COE teams.
    • Provide relevant technology insight, expertise and education to the Total Rewards COE leaders, and influence decisions on technology application that enhance HR strategy delivery, create value, and improve administrative excellence.
    • Leads Total Rewards roadmap key initiatives from concept through to successful implementation.
    • Ensure the execution of system solutions to achieve business results through understanding of business requirements, customer requirements, and critical market drivers.
  • People Leadership
    • Educate, coach, challenge and inspire direct reports to reach their maximum potential.  
    • Grow breadth in the technical/functional/leadership competence of the team by establishing a comprehensive plan to develop direct reports.
    • Maintain contemporary skills within the team through external benchmarking.  Close skill gaps from our current capabilities to our roadmaps and future portfolio needs.
    • Provide ongoing coaching and development to direct reports to evolve resources into higher value roles across the HR COE.

Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS degree or higher.
  • Strong business process leadership in HR Systems or other IT applications, at least 7-10 years.
  • Proven people leadership and project management experience, at least 7-10 years.
  • Demonstrated career progression and increased scope of job responsibility.
  •  

EXPERIENCE:

  • Technology Aware – Strong understanding and application of contemporary HR technology. Has comprehensive HR systems expertise, preferably SAP/SuccessFactors HCM as well as exposure to other HR systems such as Employee Central Payroll, BenefitFocus, Medgate and Kronos.
  • People Leadership – Ability to partner effectively with direct reports and business partners.
  • Change Management – Demonstrated ability to lead and sustain changes in business process improvements. 
  • Continuous Improvement – Demonstrated expertise in and leverage of continuous improvement methodologies to create a culture that strives to increase efficiencies.
  • Strategic Vendor Management – Demonstrated ability to source and successfully manage third party providers.
  • Global/Matrix Exposure – Has worked well in a highly-matrixed structure across functional, business, geographic and cultural boundaries.
