Academic Partnerships is looking for a proactive HR Specialist to join our Human Resources team downtown Dallas. The HR Specialist will provide Human Resources support to our front-line managers and employees in the 175-person professional outbound call center and work closely with internal departments such a Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, Legal, and Accounting/Finance.
 
Primary Responsibilities Include:
  • Manage all Recruiting and Human Resource functions for call center in a fast paced environment.
  • Manage, develop and motivate staff.
  • Manage and find resolution to employee relations issues.
  • Develop and implement recruiting strategies with recruiting team.
  • Manages recruiting contacts and partners in the community
  • Fills multiple job orders, meeting the needs of contact center team.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with appropriate recruiting resources.
  • Actively recruits qualified applicants.
  • Coordinates interviews between applicants and operations.
  • Conducts reference checks and background checks.
  • Makes employment offers and successfully negotiates pay rate packages.
  • Support New Hires Orientation through AP University.
  • Review of new hire paperwork.
  • Facilitate the processing of the LOA, PTO and FMLA requests.
  • Investigate all injury/incident reports. Obtain all necessary documentation and manage corresponding Workers Compensation claims.
  • Assist with the investigation and gathering of documentation for all EEOC claims (or other legal issues).
  • Represent AP for unemployment claims, EEOC investigations and other employment agency inquiries.
  • Conduct employee exit interviews.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
 

Requirements

Qualifications Include:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, HR Management, or other related field
  • Advanced degree preferred (MBA or MS)
  • Previous experience in Human Resources/Recruiting
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Windows, Internet and Outlook. (Office 365 is a plus)
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and handle numerous tasks simultaneously
  • Experience with an HRIS software; exposure to Newton Applicant Tracking System preferred
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are a must
  • Time management skills are imperative
  • Must possess a positive and upbeat attitude
  • Ability to work well with others and create a positive partnership to the Student Contact Center
  • Position requires flexible availability and must be able to adjust schedule as needed
