Looking to be a key player in the success of a growing company?

We have a great opportunity for an HR/ Recruiting Manager with 3-5 years of direct recruiting and HR experience. 50% of your time will be spent in HR generalist and management duties with the remaining time spent managing the Recruiting team. In this position you will be an integral part of the management team including holding a position on the Steering Committee.

As the HR/Recruiting Manager in our West End office, your responsibilities will include; achieving the company hiring objectives, hiring successful candidates to keep employee turnover low and customer satisfaction high, managing our software databases for tracking job applicants and assisting the operations and management teams with HR functions.

Primary responsibilities of the HR/Recruiting Manager:

  • Develop, execute and manage recruiting plans which achieve the company hiring objectives
  • Manage and coordinate the activities of the Recruiting team
  • Build networks through industry contacts, association memberships, employees, etc.
  • Effectively utilize the internet and social media for successful recruiting
  • Manage the use of recruiters, search firms, and temporary placement agencies
  • Manage trade show and job fair participation
  • Manage unemployment, workers' comp and FLMA claims and accounts
  • Lead the annual Healthcare Renewal and Open Enrollment teams
  • Represent BKS on Employee Benefits committee
  • Review and assist the team with employee performance management
  • Manage UI and WC claims and accounts
  • Manage regulatory filings (1095, 5500, EEO, etc.)

Administrative Duties:

  • On-boarding and orientation of new employees
  • Revise and update documents and P&P as needed
  • Comply with record retention laws and company practices
  • Assumes responsibility for your own personal development and continuous learning
  • Keep abreast of new technology, methods, and regulations related to responsibilities

Requirements

Successful candidates will be non-smokers who have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle along with the following skills and attributes:

  • Experience cold-calling candidates and using multiple recruiting sources
  • Experience using database software, MS Word, Excel, and leveraging the internet and social media
  • Comfortable working with unemployment, FLMA, progressive discipline, and employee benefits
  • Good writing skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Efficient time management
  • 5+ years of hands-on recruiting experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management or related field preferred
  • HR Certification (CP, PHR)
