The world's leading private security organization, G4S, has an immediate job opportunity for a Human Resources Manager. As a Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the local office in employee hiring and on boarding, employee development, support to the discipline/grievance process, personnel records, background investigations, group insurance administration and monthly reconciliation, Workers’ Compensation, unemployment claims, Affirmative Action planning and leave of absence.  The Human Resources Manager is also responsible for ensuring compliance with corporate policies and applicable federal, state and local laws.

G4S is a security provider for the United States government, fortune 500 companies, nuclear power plants, oil and gas companies, airport, ports, banks, hospitals, factories, warehouses, commercial facilities, residential communities and much more.

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Coordinate with the Operations Manager and Labor scheduling on new hire availability, qualifications and current/future demand
  • Ensure Recruiting Specialist has knowledge of open positions and Job Description for open positions and has been trained to maximize his or her effectiveness in filling those positions
  • Identify staffing needs for the local office
  • Monitor and track candidates received, interviewed, and hired against open positions
  • Administer leaves of absence, FMLA, PTO, etc.; Employee Relations activity, disciplinary actions; Comp Stat participation; Implementing Customer transitions; Workers Comp management; Unemployment claims management, and employee records changes in PeopleSoft
  • Work with G4S Managers to ensure they maximize all opportunities and use all tools available for employee retention and development
  • Ensure compliance with company HR policies and applicable federal, state, and local laws
  • Attend weekly meetings with the General Manager, Shared Services Management and Operations Management to align organizational goals and targets
  • Take complaints concerning discrimination, sexual harassment, and workplace harassment and provide investigative assistance when necessary in such matters; provide guidance and support for supervision concerning employee relations and disciplinary action
  • Conduct Recruiting Specialist and Human Resources Specialist training and development

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess one or more of the following:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Public Relations, Business, or related degree combined with 1 year of Human Resources management/supervisory experience
    • Associate’s Degree in Human Resources, Public Relations, Business, or related degree combined with 3 years of Human Resources management/supervisory experience
    • High School diploma or equivalent combined with 5 years of Human Resources management/supervisory experience
