Job Title: Human Resources Manager


Adecco staffing is helping our current customer in Moore, OK look for a direct hire HR Manager.  Ideally this person has a strong background in HR.  Start up experience a plus.  Pay is up to $75,000/yr

 

 

A.         PURPOSE

 

The Human Resources Manager serves as a HR generalist subject matter expert to managers. The Human Resources Manager leads projects, initiatives and accomplishes HR deliverables.   Partners with leaders to implement human resources strategies that support key organizational goals and positive employee engagement. The Human Resources Manager directly reports to the Vice President of Human Resources.

 

B.         DUTIES

 

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Assures Company employment, employee relations and equal employment opportunity policies and practices comply with the applicable provisions of federal and state laws and regulations,
  • Performs investigations on employee issues and coaches managers with appropriate       recommendations and solutions
  • Protects interests of employees and company in accordance with internal policies and governmental laws and regulations.
  • Coaches in the fair application of disciplinary practices for all employees, up to and including termination.
  • Recommends new approaches, and/or policies and procedures to effect continual improvement in department efficiency and services provided.
  • Maintains compliance with I-9 documentation and audits
  • Facilitates conflict resolution meetings

 

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Works closely with VP of HR on compensation projects; surveys and benchmarks
  • Assures Carrier Connections are operating accurately and effectively
  • Handles enrollment of benefits to all plans
  • Provides Benefits Orientation
  • Handles activities related to the Form 5500 and 401k Audit
  • Proactively engages in the performance management and merit increase process from training to timely delivery of increases.

 

Talent Acquisition

 

  • Responsible for recruitment of exempt and nonexempt level positions.
  • Implements solutions and seeks process improvements
  • Performs analysis related to staffing metrics
  • Manages productive business partnerships with staffing agencies
  • Meets time to fill goals and requests from internal client groups     

 

HR Systems & Metrics

  • Develops market trends reports
  • Conducts research and creates HR Metrics and Reports
  • Completes HR score card on a monthly basis
  • Effectively operates HRIS, 401k Portal, Benefit Carrier Enrollment Sites
  • Conducts audits of HR data
  • Implements HR technology plans

 

Training and Development

 

  • Organizes and conducts training needs assessments, establishes criteria and measure training effectiveness.
  • Develops, delivers training or through outside resources coordinates training courses/classes designed to meet identified requirements.
  • Facilitates and transfers knowledge
  • Delivers well-organized HR presentations
  • Develops early-level HR professionals in building manager level relationships

Rewards and Recognition

 

  • Assists in the communication and delivery of recognition processes and events, either company-wide or locally-produced to be consistent with company Core Values.
  • Manages HR programs, policies to support organizational culture

Specific Skills and Abilities Required

·         Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities using effective problem solving/resolution skills and a team focus with a sense of urgency

·         Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on HR and business related topics to team members and leaders.

·         Ability to produce clear and concise reports, business correspondence, policies and procedures.

·         Model leadership, accountability, initiative and integrity

·         Ability to coach, empower and develop team members.

·         Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

·         Business acumen to demonstrate understanding of short and long term business goals.

 

C.            EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources (or related area) or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience required within a manufacturing, logistics or distribution organization is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years’ hands-on experience in Human Resources including experience in administration, benefits, compensation, employee relations and performance management. 
  • PHR or SPHR Certification is preferred
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, including ability to resolve disputes and observe confidentiality are imperative. 
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Solid analytical and problem solving skills. 
  • Superior verbal/written skills and presentation skills
  • Working knowledge with State and Federal regulations required. 
  • Experience with Food Industry is preferred.

D          Language Skills

  • Bilingual English/Spanish (a Plus)
