Key Accountabilities

  • Working with the Talent Acquisition team to put together and send offer packages to new joiners, including employment contracts, benefit enrolment forms etc.
  • Working with global HR team to ensure a consistent onboarding programme is delivered to all BSDI employees
  • Process New Starters into our global HRIS and ADP Totalsource
  • Designing an induction programme for each new joiner and arranging Induction meetings, including carrying out HR induction
  • Manage all US health benefit options (picking plan, make sure people are up to date, understand the options, filling out paperwork before deadlines)
  • Management of the company 401K retirement plan

Requirements

Candidate Profile 

  • Management of all ER matters including disciplinaries, redundancies, dismissals etc., with support from global HR team/ ADP Totalsource as needed
  • Ensure legal compliance in all ER matters
  • Work with HRD to design a BSDI performance management procedure
  • Manage reorgs, departmental changes and line management changes as appropriate, ensuring these changes are appropriately documented
  • Work with wider HR team to manage performance review and pay review/ promotion processes
  • Providing guidance to managers and employees on HR matters including but not limited to absence, probation, grievance etc
  • Managing periods of leave (sickness/absence, maternity/paternity etc)
  • Have a good working knowledge of State and Federal employment law and able to make recommendations as to relevant policy or procedural updates
  • Ensure up to date BSDI policies are in place in line with other offices
  • Ensure legal compliance in all BSDI documentation
  • Advising on employment matters such as visas, contracts, T&Cs etc
  • Preparing visa case paperwork for transferring employees
  • Ensuring our Workmans compensation program is up to date
  • Make sure we are compliant with all state laws related to health, wellness and any state training (incl. assigning training to team and leads)
  • Work with the wider HR team to embed the Black Swan values into US offices
  • Run regular ‘HR Drop-Ins’ to address employee concerns/ answer questions
  • Conduct exit interviews with departing staff
  • Work with wider HR team to manage training needs for US offices
  • Support the company-wide Swan School initiative by building an internal training schedule with local training sessions in the US offices
  • Facilitate the US performance reviews, including 1:1s with managers as appropriate
  • Assist with setting and tracking KPIs
  • Run or suggest training programmes for BSDI employees, using ADP Totalsource as appropriate
  • Coach line managers with regards to management styles, resolving conflict etc
  • Form part of the BSDI management team, attend weekly US management meetings and input into the local office strategy
  • Assisting with office moves and events organisation as required
