General Description:


The position serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues. The successful HR Manager acts as an employee champion and change agent. The role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The manager collaborates with the Director in matters pertaining to labor negotiations.


Characteristics, Duties, and Responsibilities:

  • Proactively supports the delivery of HR Processes.
  • Manages complex and difficult HR Projects cross-functionally.
  • Builds strong business relationship with department heads.
  • Actively identifies gaps, proposes and implement changes necessary to cover risks
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Conducts training on various programs such as performance management.
  • Designs succession plans for key talents and key job positions.
  • Challenges the organizational structure and proposes changes.
  • Identify and assess training needs within a company.
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Develop, organize, conduct and evaluate training programs.
  • Create training materials.
  • Develop succession and talent management programs that groom and develop employees.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness.
  • Modify training programs.
  • Design mentor programs.
  • Ability to conduct employee relations investigations.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Supervisory Responsibility:


This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.




  • Bachelor’s degree in a Human Resources discipline or other disciplines along with specific HR experience.




  • 5-7 years in Human Resources with increasing responsibilities.
