We are seeking an experience HR Manager who can drive change and business results through the use of strong influencing skills and Human Resources expertise. Specific experience with talent acquisition, organizational design, employee relations, and leadership are a must.

Accountability is accomplished through working collaboratively with distribution center leaders and the Human Resources centers of excellence team to foster an environment consistent with KeHE’s Culture, Mission, and Values.

Responsibilities:

  • Role model behaviors that are congruent to KeHE’s culture.
  • Change Management leadership; emphasis on progress, simplicity and customer-centric response.
  • Adapt HR strategies into actionable initiatives that address the distribution centers functional needs.
  • Provide courageous people perspective on business issues, even when unpopular.
  • Contribute to a strong and unified HR Leadership team to create and drive synergies.
  • Conducts internal workplace investigations, presents facts and ensures proper resolution.
  • Recruits staff for the open positions in the Distribution Center and ensures there is a sufficient pipeline of applicants.
  • Performs new hire employee orientations.
  • Works with local union and management team to resolve grievances.
  • Leverages safety support to administer and manage workers compensation; including reporting and handling claims and collaborating with appropriate parties.
  • Works with the legal department to respond EEOC claims
  • Manages all human resources materials, including personnel files, new hire forms, I-9s, W-4s, 401k plan, manuals, and other personnel documents to ensure that files are current, confidential, complete, and in compliance with company and government regulations and deadlines.
  • Maintains knowledge and updates policies and procedures based upon state specific legislation.

 

ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  1. Contribute and support to the overall goals of the Human Resources Department.
  2. Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve emotional and complex problems or issues, by using judgment that is in consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law.
  3. Capability of prioritizing and handling multiple projects simultaneously, under tight time constraints.
  4. Able to work effectively with peers, region and corporate leadership, and the operations team in a productive collaborative environment coupled with the ability to be decisive is needed.
  5. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.

Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Minimum 5 years HR Generalist experience.
  2. Distribution and/or Manufacturing human resources experience required. Prefer experience in a unionized environment and contract negotiations.
  3. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field required.
  4. PHR/SPHR preferred.
  5. Proven ability to interact with and influence leaders.
  6. Ability to work successfully under pressure and handle multiple highly sensitive issues and competing priorities.
  7. Must be able to travel and occasionally work nights and weekends.
