The Human Resources Generalist in an integral member of the employee relations team and will be the on-site human resources representative. This position is responsible for a variety of human resources functions and will provide overall generalist assistance to all employees.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Participates in developing department objectives, goals and action plans
  • Gathers and maintains intelligence on human resource disciplines to guide operational recommendations
  • Counsels advises and provides guidance to line management pertaining to  HR issues
  • Functions as Human Resource Generalist to administer human resource operational functions for company personnel, including recruiting, onboarding, new hire orientations, exit interviews, payroll, benefits, performance management, employee relations, and compensation assessment
  • Confident interaction with customers at all levels, able to respond to a variety of human resource questions
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations regarding employment, including holding employees accountable for fulfilling recurring Compliance training requirements
  • Influences the work of others through a matrix relationship
  • Collaborates with the HR team in functional roles to address and resolve any issue
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned
  • Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values

Requirements

  • PHR certification preferred
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills, including significant experience leading and conducting internal investigations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in creating and reengineering business processes desired
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
  • Able to act as a "change agent" at the macro and micro level
  • Must be highly proficient in Excel and Word
  • Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, mathematical skills and sound judgment
  • Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred
  • Strong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management
