Position Overview: Reporting to the Human Resources Director, the Recruiter/HR Generalist will be primarily responsible for the full cycle recruitment process. General duties include sourcing, interviewing, and facilitating communication between internal clients and candidates. Must have solid experience developing lasting relationships with both hiring managers and candidates, be social media savvy, and have the desire to grow within the company. S/he will also assist with the day to day operation of the HR department. This is a unique and excellent opportunity to join a small team and make a difference as we continue our growth!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify and convert top technical and administrative talents through various sources
  • Source passive candidates through networking, social media, industry events, direct candidate outreach and other creative tactics.
  • Work with hiring managers to determine hiring needs and develop job descriptions.
  • Use competitive intelligence and industry knowledge to research and identify new recruiting channels.
  • Continually manage the recruiting pipeline for technical hires
  • Evaluate skill level and overall fit of candidates, conduct an efficient and professional interview process, and drive offer process, including reference checking.
  • Communicate effectively with the hiring manager and interview team to ensure preparedness and follow-up during the interview and selection process.
  • Deliver impeccable candidate care from initial contact to onsite interviews.
  • Identify, coordinate and participate in various social events (i.e., meet-ups, professional organizations, university job fairs, etc.) to identify talent and promote the Viscira brand.
  • Conduct effective new Employee Orientation.
  • Recommends process improvement for recruitment procedures in accordance with industry best practices
  • Ensure all recruiting processes are fair and compliant.
  • Performs benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting, reconciling invoices for payment and communicating benefits information to employees.
  • Recommend and assist with organizing various company events.
  • Assist the HR Director in maintaining compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.




Required Qualifications, Skills & Abilities:

  • BA/BS in HR or related field, with at least 2 years experience working in a recruiting-related position, either in-house or agency side preferred.
  • In depth knowledge of various Federal and State Employment laws.
  • Early adopter and passionate user of technology, the Internet and various social media sites including LinkedIn.
  • Capable of utilizing advanced search techniques, outbound communications, and tactics to promote the Viscira brand among the passive talent space.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple open searches, and work cross-functionally to accomplish objectives and successfully manage multiple, competing senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills, negotiation and organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation, with the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of professional staff from varied disciplines and backgrounds.
  • Must possess a positive, high-touch, and service-oriented approach.
  • Ability to effectively handle and protect sensitive and confidential company information.
  • Must be proficient on the Macintosh computing platform
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet.
