We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Generalist with a focus around recruitment. Under general supervision of the Director of Human Resources and in collaboration with Office and Project Managers, the successful candidate will identify, assess and bring top talent to Hardesty & Hanover, and will be responsible for guiding hiring managers and candidates through the selection process, performing full lifecycle recruiting, maintaining excellent relations with hiring managers, and candidates. This position will be in our NYC Headquarters Office.


 

Essential Roles and Responsibilities

 

Recruiting Activities:

 

  • Recruits, screens, and interviews for designated firm wide exempt/non-exempt staff positions.
  • Shares recruiting trends and innovative techniques to maintain a competitive state-of-the-art recruiting practice 
  • Advises supervisory staff regarding recruitment policies and procedures.
  • Stays current on the company’s organization structure, personnel policy, and federal and state laws regarding employment practices

 

 Generalist Activities:

 

  • Gather, research and evaluate information regarding employee/management inquiries, issues and concerns.
  • Provide counsel, assistance and problem resolution services to employees and management regarding employee or management issues in accordance with company policy and state and federal agency requirements.
  • Coordinate employment, benefits, and training and development programs that support the organization’s business objectives

 

 


Requirements

 Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; Professional certification with SHRM, a plus
  • 3 to 5 years of HR experience required with an emphasis on talent acquisition experience
  • Engineering recruiting experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexible, with ability to adapt to changes, delays or unexpected events

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
